Let’s talk about something other than parenting.

There are many types of exercise. Namely cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility.

The least I used to like is flexibility.

Why?

Because being a macho man that I am, flexibility equals limberness and sissyness. At the end of the day, I don’t want to look everything but wimpy.

Being muscular and having excellent stamina were always my exercise goals.

Not anymore. [Read more…]

Olivia Manning from Liverpool has scored 162 in an IQ test – which the average is 100. The 12-year old school girl has been accepted into Mensa. It is reported that her score is 2 points better than Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. Woohoo! She is brainier than Einstein.

What a genius!

J turned her head.

She heard a reply, “Don’t copy my answers.”

J was not looking for answers. She wanted something else. She wanted to ask her classmate something.

Her classmate (let’s call her Serena for convenience’s sake) who is sitting behind her was too quick to jump into conclusion that J was trying to “steal” her answers.

When this happened, it’s not exam time. Just on a normal school day.

For the record, this situation happens more than once. [Read more…]

We entrusted food companies to produce foods and hopefully safeguard our health.

But more often than not, they have failed us… miserably.

In the latest event, Trader Joe’s has recalled its peanut butt-er jam.

And according to the CDC, it’s said that the tainted peanut butt-er is linked to Salmonella poisoning that caused 30 people ill in 19 states in the US.

Incidents like this make us sick as these companies have breached the trust we have given to them.

Sad but true, this is not a US only issue, it affects every country.

To prevent this from happening, here’s what you can do. [Read more…]
