K insists that I should write about this story. I don’t have a choice, do I?

By the way, it’s a good story and I want to share with you.

Let me warn you before you continue, this post is longer than usual. But worth every minute of your time.

I just read an article written by one of my favorite authors. I always like the simplicity in his articles.

This one is no exception. Not only is the article short and simple but it really speaks to my heart. While reading, sentence by sentence, it hit me like a fast moving train.

Why?

What he said in the article resonates with me so well that I wanted to share with you. As with Leo Babauta, this is what I aspire to be as a parent too.

These are simple pointers but it takes a lifetime to master. By doing so, you free yourself from unnecessary stress and worries. This is the way how parents should be, naturally. [Read more…]

Passion of Reading

The victims have gone through tremendous sufferings of having lost their loved ones and properties.

A friend who works for a charitable organization was quick to announce that she was collecting donation for the Nepalese victims.

I usually chip in and that is the end of story.

But this time, I wanted to do it differently and more meaningful. [Read more…]

Best gift ever…

April 20, 2015 By Abel Cheng

Here’s a touching true story about how a single mother raised her daughter: Not by spoon feeding but by letting her face problems and find answers through experiences.

I totally agree with the mother on how she brought up her daughter by not doing the tasks for her.

Teaching the child how to fish (instead of fishing for him) is the best gift a parent can give to his child.

The 3-minute video is in Thai but English subtitle is available. Have fun.
