“Mom DID it”

January 31, 2013 By Abel Cheng

Heard a joke on the radio.

It goes something like this:

After dinner, mother and daughter are doing the dishes in the kitchen while father and son are in the living room watching TV.

Then comes a crashing sound from the kitchen. Someone obviously breaks a plate or something.

“It was mom,” the son says confidently.

“Why are you so sure it was mom?” the father asks, puzzled.

The son replied, “Because I don’t hear any scolding.”

Father: “………” [Read more…]

Powerless Supermom

January 8, 2013 By Abel Cheng

It’s a rare scene. At least in my country.

However after reading many rave reviews of the latest installment of James Bond, I couldn’t contain my curiosity but to watch it.

Last Saturday, I took my wife (yes, without the kids!) to watch Skyfall at a cinema after, God knows, how long.

To my disappointment, it turned out that I didn’t like the latest 007 movie.

Maybe I had different expectations. Maybe I am judging it based on the perceptions I have about the past James Bond movies: fast cars, latest gadgets, Bond girls… [Read more…]
