We didn’t expect to take so long to reach Kota Bharu (also spelt as Kota Bahru and Kota Baru) – the capital of Kelantan – the north eastern state of Peninsular Malaysia bordering Thailand.
We started our journey at 8 am after a dim sum breakfast in Penang. We embarked on to Butterworth Kulim Expressway then to East West Highway.

Boy I thoroughly enjoyed this BBQ cum camping trip that we made on September 16. It was more than 15 years since my last camping adventure. Not only did it bring me close to nature but it also made me feel young again (ahem!). Plus it’s also the first camping experience for my children, J and K.
The 2D1N adventure trip was joined in by Teoh Family and Lam Family. The trip was perfect as it catered to both adults and children. While we adults were busy catching up and preparing food for the group, the children came up with ideas to play together. First off, I am not a doctor. Neither am I a nutritionist.
But I have read enough and done enough to raise disease-free kids. I am proud to say that my children are hardly sick, thanks to what they eat and do differently.

J, my 8-year old daughter, has just finished her examination the week before last. And last week, the teachers began to discuss about the exam papers and every student got to know how well they did in the examination.
“My friend did not bring home his Math paper because he is scared that his dad will scold him for not doing well.” J told me.
