The Most Dangerous Myth About Parenting

July 24, 2013 By Abel Cheng

Most parents are caught unaware of this myth and they operate based on it religiously and wonder why they keep heading in the wrong direction in parenting.

It’s not their fault. They are conditioned to believe this dangerous myth to be the truth. They think that’s the way parenting should be.

Unfortunately, they will be in for a surprise. A big one… in fact.

What death can teach you about parenting

July 10, 2013 By Abel Cheng

Oh wait, not me! I am still alive and kicking!

On a more serious note, someone had died and came back alive. This is not a story I pick from a horror fiction but it’s a real story.

Anita Moorjani was diagnosed with cancer and she was confirmed by the doctor that her chances of survival was down to zero. She actually “saw” the other side and finally she decided to come back as she has to finish her unfinished jobs.

After going through near death experience (NDE), she has learned a lot about life. She is light and more carefree compared to the old Anita. She shared her NDE in a book called “Dying to be Me – My Journey from Cancer, to Near Death, to True Healing” – which has become a bestseller. They want to spend everything they have without thinking about the future.

That brings back to my point of this post. [Read more…]

June 14, 2013 By Abel Cheng

Bukit Melawati Lighthouse

Our plan for camping in an orchard didn’t turn out well. My friend planned for a day trip to Kuala Selangor last Saturday. Joined altogether by three families: 6 adults and 5 children.

Kuala Selangor is famous for Bukit Melawati, fireflies, and seafood.

We only started our trip to Kuala Selangor at noon. And this was partly to coincide with the lunch plan in Ijok – where it’s famous for Beggar’s Chicken.

Overall it was a good trip but one thing stood out like a sore thumb and it was totally unexpected of. Read on and find out about the unscrupulous operator.

Kitchen Renovation Strengthens Healthy Eating

May 22, 2013 By Abel Cheng

You know what. The type of kitchen you have determines the type of foods you serve your family.

It’s important that you have the right type that promotes healthy living.

No way! You actually believe that!

Forget about that. It was not what I meant.

That is not the case but somehow something happens to our family that made me realize how big the influence of what we teach to our children.

The story goes like this: [Read more…]
