We went to Medan Tangga for breakfast the next morning. Judging from the number of stalls selling it, I guess the popular dish among Kuala Lipis people here is Hakka Mee. I wanted to try the pulut rendang but it would not open until afternoon that day due to fasting month.

After having late lunch in Raub, we headed to Kuala Lipis, the third and last town on our itinerary. This was also where we stayed our night.
It took us about 30 minutes to travel from Raub to Kuala Lipis. It was already evening when we reached Kuala Lipis. The first impression I had about Kuala Lipis was the town is spread out and hilly. [Read more…]

Wow! After checking out Casabrina, it was already 2.30pm.
J and K were complaining that they were hungry. We came prepared. My wife took out some snacks for them to stop the hunger pangs before we had “proper” lunch.

It was on our itinerary. We came to know about Casabrina in one of the forums. We didn’t know where Casabrina is located specifically. We only knew it is located in Bentong.
We found it in the least unexpected place. In fact, my wife saw it by accident. This happened after our durian session in Kampung Sang Lee. In fact, Casabrina is just a stone throw’s away from where we had our durians – less than 500 meters. It is situated at old Bentong-Raub road which also leads you to Kampung Tras and Fraser’s Hill. After savoring homemade ice-cream at Kow Po Coffee Shop, we headed to Chamang Waterfall.
No offense, I must say this is one of the best waterfalls in Malaysia in terms of cleaniness. The waterfall is clean and well maintained. The water is crystal clear and rubbish-free. [Read more…]
