Here’s a report I read recently:

There’s a 20% increase in the spending on luxury items for children among Chinese parents this year compared to the last. They spend more than 3,000 yuan (USD $471) a month to pamper their children with elite brand items (i.e. Gucci Kids, Burberry Children, Baby Dior, Armani Junior).

It gets even more interesting: It’s estimated that the amount is going to hit 8,000 yuan (USD $1,255) per year by end of 2013 regardless of the income of the family. Given the current average income of China is at 21,800 yuan a year, the spending on luxury items is going to touch 36.7% of the income.

A week ago, K complained that his mouth was painful. Also before that he had a mild fever.

I thought, “Oh no! Not HFMD again!”

We shared stories and one topic that was unavoidable was parenting. Imagine you have to take care of not one but three babies simultaneously. There’s a lot to learn from Anne.

I thought Anne was like any other ordinary mother who is submissive to children’s wishes.

Lucky for her. She is not. [Read more…]

Luke has not learned to take good care things under his custodian. He tends to break of lose them.

That’s the reason why his parents do not buy him a new bicycle, among other things.

He has to use his sister’s girly, pinky bike.

Things change one day as his father, Phil, decides it’s time for Luke to have a new bicycle of his own.

It’s time for him to teach Luke about responsibility. [Read more…]

Shhh….

Be quiet.

After making our daddy sleep by forcing him to watch the 112th time rerun of a Spongebob series, we took over the computer and wrote this article to you.

I know you always receive emails from our daddy, Abel Cheng. And he always says how good a father he is.

Enough is enough. Things may not what you think of him. We don’t want him to mislead you further. [Read more…]
