Travel Without Kids: How to Prepare for Vacation Just the Two of You

I can’t recall a time when we went for vacations without our two young children – after they came along.

In a few days’ time, this is going to be the first time my wife and I go for a vacation and leave the kids behind. Sort of like second honeymoon for us.

I recently came to know about TinyPrints.com (affiliate link) and I straightaway fell in love with the card printing company.

Not because it was the first company of such nature I had seen but I just love the designs they offer. They are cute, lively, lovely, and most of all, stunning.

Free Play Encourages Creativity and Independence

When they are playing by themselves, I do my best not to interfere. I don’t dictate how J and K play and I don’t show them the “right” way to play with a particular toy.

It’s free play.

It’s up to them how they want to play it out. I encourage them to fully use their imagination when they play. I will do my best not to criticize unnecessarily.

Family Vacation to Hong Kong

I took the family to Hong Kong for a short vacation from 4 November to 8 November. Though it was quite rush but we did have a good time.

While we were planning for the trip, the focus was on J and K. It is a child-centered trip though we tried to slip in some other activities.

The highlights were Ocean Park and of course the most anticipated place… Hong Kong Disneyland. [Read more…]
