Sunshine Coast: A Weekend Family Trip

December 13, 2011 By Abel Cheng

Coolum Beach

Since we are in Brisbane (as mentioned in Free Things to Do in Brisbane) for a month, we take the opportunity to have longer (and further) trips on weekends while my wife is not working.

On the second weekend we were here, we visited the Sunshine Coast of Australia – north of Brisbane. Sunshine Coast might not be as popular as its cousin Gold Coast but it has its own charm and uniqueness.

We rented a car so that we could move about easily. On normal days, we usually prepare our own breakfast. To take full advantage of the rented car (since it came with unlimited mileage), we ate out that day. [Read more…]

November 15, 2011 By Abel Cheng

This is a very touching song. My heart is filled with love and warmth every time I listen to it.

The song was introduced to me by a friend.

When I first heard this song I was mesmerized by the remarkable tune of the song. And when I tried to appreciate the words of the song, it conveyed some very powerful messages a child needed to learn.

It’s not easy to find a song that has excellent music as well as the lyrics. This particular song fits the criteria perfectly.

Recently J’s piano teacher taught her the song and asked the class to sing along.  And I find this song is too great to miss… and I will regret if I do not share it with you. [Read more…]
