Japan Trip: A Quick Ride on Shinkansen Train and First Encounter with Mount Fuji

The tour guide told us that Japanese must have natto for breakfast. I saw this at Grand Hotel Hamamatsu and I gave it a try. Natto is a type of fermented soy beans. Before eating, you mix the ingredients with a pair of chopsticks. Natto tends to get sticky and creates web-like threads during mixing. It tastes bitter. [Read more…]
