I\'m just impressed the THREE year old sat that long. :)

This is a great great article.

My son (age 2) and I went to see a puppet show that was slated to start at 10:30am.

We had to get in line at 10:00am in order to assure we could get a seat.

Then we had to WAIT until the show was to begin at 10:30am then the puppet master used 15 minutes to go over the \'rules\' be quiet, etc....

Needless to say, at 10:45am all the kids were RESTLESS! :(

My son of course was the ring leader of the toddler mosh pit! :( - tanyetta

I strongly feels that this 10 child discipline tips not only works for children ages from 2 - 6 years of age, but can also be shared with kids from ages 7 - 12 especially from point # 6 - # 10. - Val

I think point #3 should be followed only when the parent and child are in a private place like the home. I\'ve seen parents ignore a child\'s tantrum like this on an airplane where it cannot be tolerated. - Ron

My daughter has cerebral palsy, so I don\'t have the running problem because she is physically unable to run yet.

However, I\'ve noticed that giving her a release up front will help her be calm for a long time afterwards. If the trip to the mall is the first time they\'ve been outside the house for a while, they\'re going to be a little restless.

Going to the park first for 15 minutes, or if you don\'t have time, at least giving a child a few laps around the front yard or the parking lot, might help a lot. - Karl Bielefeldt

Thanks i will try some, that i\'ve not tried yet!

But wat if your kid runs away from you in a crowded place and the more u call them to you the fast and further away he/she runs? this really gets me into a frenzy! Especially when he/she starts doing the exact opposite of what i want and the danger of loosing them makes me frantic! this always makes me look like a lunatic in the mall screaming at my kid and running after them.

And have u noticed how much worse they tend to behave when out of the house?

Really appreciate your article!

Thanks again. - VEA
